I’m a Kansas City native who’s passionate about the arts, especially music. I’m also a huge geek who loves “Star Wars,” video games and superheroes quite a bit. I love being a part of The Maneater because it lets me combine my passions with my love for writing while working alongside some of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
What are you most looking forward to about your position?
I’m excited to get to interact with both The Maneater’s readers and its new staff members to help make the publication better. I’m also really looking forward to working with an Ed Board full of awesome people.
What’s your favorite memory from your time at The Maneater so far?
My favorite memory has to be covering the True/False Film Festival. I saw some incredible documentaries, explored new places downtown, wrote some fun MOVE pieces and I did it all with one of my best friends, Regina Anderson.
What’s your favorite piece of work you’ve done for The Maneater?
My favorite piece I’ve done for The Maneater is my True/False review of “The Music of Strangers.” The True/False Film Festival was such a great experience and I loved this documentary so much that I had a great time writing about it.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I spend most of my free time playing video games, blasting music, watching Netflix, reading and pretending I’m Princess Leia.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I would love to be in a city working toward my goal of writing about arts and culture. Hopefully, I’ll have a corgi too.
